Description
The Axiom Cosmic Electron Soft Proxy putter is Axiom's remarkably straight, glidey putt and approach disc, molded in Cosmic Electron Soft plastic. It's built for players who want straight putter drives and controllable approaches, and it's at its best on straight putter drives, approaches, and putts. If you're shopping for a dependable Proxy for your bag, this Cosmic Electron Soft run is a great place to start.
Cosmic Electron Soft Plastic
Cosmic Electron Soft combines MVP's grippy Electron plastic with unique Cosmic Ray patterns and multi-tone colors, in its most flexible version. You get Electron's tactile grip with a softer feel in the hand, and your Proxy gains glide and a more neutral flight as it wears. The Proxy is also available in Cosmic Electron, Cosmic Electron Firm, Eclipse and Eclipse Electron.
The Mold
The Proxy is a 21.1 cm putt and approach disc with a 10 mm rim. It shares the Envy mold's core, giving it the same low-profile feel and solid grip, with a short wing width and wide flight plate diameter for superior glide. It sets itself apart from the Axiom Envy with a remarkably straight, forward-fading finish. A bit of high-speed turn lets you shape its lines over a broad range of power and helps less powerful throwers achieve straight putter drives.
Stability
The Proxy is neutral. Neutral discs fly straight and true with very little turn or fade. For right-hand backhand (RHBH) throwers, it flies straight with only a slight drift left as it slows down. Left-hand backhand (LHBH) throwers will see the mirror image, with a gentle drift right at the finish. Forehand flights flip that pattern: right-hand forehand (RHFH) follows the LHBH line and left-hand forehand (LHFH) follows the RHBH line. It's an easy choice for beginners and a reliable tool for experienced players.
Flight Numbers
| Rating | Value | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Speed | 3 | Slow putter speed, easy to control without much power. |
| Glide | 3 | Moderate glide that carries without sailing past the target. |
| Turn | -1 | A touch of high-speed turn to the right (RHBH) for a little extra distance. |
| Fade | 0.5 | Very little fade, so it finishes nearly straight. |
