Innova Disc Golf Star Destroyer with Spirit of Detroit Stamp Distance Driver
Description
The Innova Star Destroyer distance driver is Innova's gold-standard distance driver, molded in Star plastic. It's built for players who need control in the wind and on forehands, and it's at its best on fast, stable power drives. This one features TGM's custom Spirit of Detroit stamp.
Star Plastic
Star is created with a special blend of grippy, resilient polymers. It offers the outstanding durability of Champion plastic with improved grip like Pro plastic, and it flies like Champion while being slightly less firm. It provides predictable performance, long-lasting durability even on wooded or rugged courses, good all-weather grip, and it retains its flight longer than DX or Pro plastics.
The Spirit of Detroit Stamp
This Destroyer carries our custom Spirit of Detroit stamp, a design TGM Skateboards created to honor the city. The Spirit of Detroit, the iconic bronze statue by Marshall Fredericks that has stood downtown since 1958, has long been a symbol of Detroit's people and their determination, and we're proud to celebrate it and the Metro Detroit disc golf community from our shop in Mt. Clemens.
You get the same trusted flight and plastic as any other Star Destroyer, with a stamp you won't find on the standard release. It's a great pick for your own bag, a gift for a Detroit fan, or a piece of local pride for your collection.
The Mold
The Destroyer is a fast, stable power driver with significant glide. It's a great disc for sidearm throwers and players with lots of power.
Stability
The Destroyer is stable-to-overstable. Overstable discs resist turning over and fade hard at the end, which makes them predictable in wind and at high power. For right-hand backhand (RHBH) throwers, it resists turning over and finishes with a strong, dependable fade to the left. Left-hand backhand (LHBH) throwers will see the mirror image, with that hard fade finishing to the right. Forehand flights flip that pattern: right-hand forehand (RHFH) follows the LHBH line and left-hand forehand (LHFH) follows the RHBH line. It's best suited to intermediate and advanced players, and it's a valuable utility disc for anyone who plays in wind.
