by
Axiom Discs
SKU: DG-AXM-N-PRXSFT (REF 21-55)
Description
The Axiom Neutron Soft Proxy putter is Axiom's remarkably straight, glidey putt and approach disc, molded in Neutron Soft plastic. It's built for players who want straight putter drives and controllable approaches, and it's at its best on straight putter drives, approaches, and putts. If you're shopping for a dependable Proxy for your bag, this Neutron Soft run is a great place to start.
Neutron Soft Plastic
Neutron Soft gives you the premium look, bright opaque colors, and Proton-level durability of Axiom's flagship Neutron blend with a softer, more flexible feel in the hand. That extra flex helps your Proxy settle where it lands instead of skipping away. Like standard Neutron, it holds its flight for a long time. The Proxy is also available in Cosmic Electron, Cosmic Electron Firm, Cosmic Electron Soft and Eclipse.
The Mold
The Proxy is a 21.1 cm putt and approach disc with a 10 mm rim. It shares the Envy mold's core, giving it the same low-profile feel and solid grip, with a short wing width and wide flight plate diameter for superior glide. It sets itself apart from the Axiom Envy with a remarkably straight, forward-fading finish. A bit of high-speed turn lets you shape its lines over a broad range of power and helps less powerful throwers achieve straight putter drives.
Stability
The Proxy is neutral. Neutral discs fly straight and true with very little turn or fade. For right-hand backhand (RHBH) throwers, it flies straight with only a slight drift left as it slows down. Left-hand backhand (LHBH) throwers will see the mirror image, with a gentle drift right at the finish. Forehand flights flip that pattern: right-hand forehand (RHFH) follows the LHBH line and left-hand forehand (LHFH) follows the RHBH line. It's an easy choice for beginners and a reliable tool for experienced players.
Flight Numbers
| Rating | Value | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Speed | 3 | Slow putter speed, easy to control without much power. |
| Glide | 3 | Moderate glide that carries without sailing past the target. |
| Turn | -1 | A touch of high-speed turn to the right (RHBH) for a little extra distance. |
| Fade | 0.5 | Very little fade, so it finishes nearly straight. |
