Discraft Glo Z Cicada with Spirit of Detroit Stamp Fairway Driver - Choose Exact Disc
Description
The Discraft Glo Z Cicada fairway driver is a straight-flying, versatile fairway driver, molded in Glo Z plastic. It's built for players who love strategic shot shaping, and it's at its best on straight drives and seamless flips. This one features TGM's custom Spirit of Detroit stamp.
Glo Z Plastic
Glo Z is Discraft's glow-in-the-dark Z plastic and the most popular variant for night rounds. It gives your Cicada the durability of Z with a glow that lights up evening leagues and glow rounds.
The Spirit of Detroit Stamp
This Cicada carries our custom Spirit of Detroit stamp, a design TGM Skateboards created with Discraft. It's our way of honoring the city: The Spirit of Detroit, the iconic bronze statue by Marshall Fredericks that has stood downtown since 1958, has long been a symbol of Detroit's people and their determination. Pairing it with a Michigan-made Discraft disc felt like the perfect way to celebrate the city and the Metro Detroit disc golf community we're proud to be part of here in Mt. Clemens.
You get the same trusted flight and plastic as any other Glo Z Cicada, with a stamp you won't find on the standard release. It's a great pick for your own bag, a gift for a Detroit fan, or a piece of local pride for your collection.
The Mold
The Cicada has an undeniably straight trajectory and flips seamlessly, offering the versatility needed for strategic shot shaping on any course. It's also built for touch shots and controlled approaches.
Stability
The Cicada is stable-to-understable. Understable discs turn away from your throwing arm at speed, making turnovers and hyzer-flips easier and helping lower-power players fly straight. For right-hand backhand (RHBH) throwers, it tends to drift right during the fastest part of its flight, then shows a gentle fade back to the left at the end. Left-hand backhand (LHBH) throwers will see the mirror image, drifting left early and fading right at the end. Forehand flights flip that pattern: right-hand forehand (RHFH) follows the LHBH line and left-hand forehand (LHFH) follows the RHBH line. It suits beginners who need help getting straight flights as well as advanced players who want to shape turnovers.
