Description

The Discraft ESP Meteor midrange is an understable midrange built for glide, molded in ESP plastic. It's built for players who want effortless straight flights, and it's at its best on straight flights and technical control shots. If you're shopping for a dependable Meteor for your bag, this ESP run is a great place to start.

ESP Plastic

ESP is Discraft's premier opaque, swirled plastic. It balances a gummy-yet-firm, tacky grip with high durability, which makes it a favorite for all-around everyday play. Your Meteor in ESP will hold its flight well over time while giving you more grip than Discraft's harder Z plastic. The Meteor is also available in Recycled ESP, Z Fly Dye and Z Line.

The Mold

The Meteor is designed for glide and effortless straight flights. In Z, it breaks in slowly into an easy-turning midrange for technical control shots.

Stability

The Meteor is understable. Understable discs turn away from your throwing arm at speed, making turnovers and hyzer-flips easier and helping lower-power players fly straight. For right-hand backhand (RHBH) throwers, it tends to drift right during the fastest part of its flight, then shows a gentle fade back to the left at the end. Left-hand backhand (LHBH) throwers will see the mirror image, drifting left early and fading right at the end. Forehand flights flip that pattern: right-hand forehand (RHFH) follows the LHBH line and left-hand forehand (LHFH) follows the RHBH line. It suits beginners who need help getting straight flights as well as advanced players who want to shape turnovers.

Flight Numbers

Rating Value What it means
Speed 5 Midrange speed that rewards smooth form over raw power.
Glide 5 Lots of glide to help it stay in the air and add distance.
Turn -3 Noticeable turn to the right (RHBH) at speed, great for turnovers and hyzer-flips.
Fade 1 Very little fade, so it finishes nearly straight.
