Description

The Discraft Z Swirl Thrasher distance driver is a high-speed driver with an easy-going turn, molded in Z Swirl plastic. It's built for lower arm speeds chasing maximum distance, and it's at its best on max-distance drives. This listing is the Missy Gannon release of the Thrasher. Missy Gannon is Team Discraft's Co-Captain.

Z Swirl Plastic

Z Swirl is Discraft's fan-favorite swirled version of Z plastic. Each disc has one-of-a-kind swirl patterns, and the blend adds a tackier grip on top of Z's durability. It's a tour-tough plastic with a striking look, and it's a frequent choice for Team Discraft Tour Series releases.

The Mold

The Thrasher is a high-speed driver with an easy-going turn for maximum distance at lower arm speeds.

Stability

The Thrasher is understable. Understable discs turn away from your throwing arm at speed, making turnovers and hyzer-flips easier and helping lower-power players fly straight. For right-hand backhand (RHBH) throwers, it tends to drift right during the fastest part of its flight, then shows a gentle fade back to the left at the end. Left-hand backhand (LHBH) throwers will see the mirror image, drifting left early and fading right at the end. Forehand flights flip that pattern: right-hand forehand (RHFH) follows the LHBH line and left-hand forehand (LHFH) follows the RHBH line. This run is rated 12/5/0/2, with a little less turn than the standard 12/5/-3/2. Its understability helps players without huge arm speed, while big arms can use it for turnovers and rollers.

Flight Numbers

Rating Value What it means
Speed 12 Very high speed that needs strong arm speed to fly as rated.
Glide 5 Lots of glide to help it stay in the air and add distance.
Turn 0 No high-speed turn, so it holds its line early in flight.
Fade 2 A moderate, dependable fade at the end of the flight.
