These are my favorite trucks, but I like my trucks tight, without the crushed bushings and exposed kingpin, so i put an aftermarket 62d decomposed jellies bottom barrel, paired with the stock 90a top cone, this gives me a stiff, stable ride with no wheelbite, that still turns well, and the nut sits almost flush with the kingpin
They are also the same size and color, so it still looks stock
Love these trucks

Found out that they were made in Mexico. Not a huge deal since Independent and Ace are now made in China, but it was still a disappointment. However, I couldn't get used to them at all since they are wheel biting constantly, even with 50mm wheels. I even tried 1/8 risers - which is kind of counterproductive on a low truck - and still got wheelbite. So I have removed them and went back to my old Ace which turn way better and never wheelbite even with much bigger wheels. I was really looking forward to the venture lows as I used to ride them 25 years ago, but sadly they were a huge disappointment. I think they are probably usable by riders who like their trucks extremely tight. No thank you.
