Streamline Disc Golf Special Edition St. Jude Plasma Shift Distance Driver 9/5/-3/1 - Choose Exact Disc
Description
As part of the 2024 MVP Open, the Streamline Shift debuted as a very special collaboration with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Through sales of the Shift, our incredible disc golf community raised over $50,000 that has gone towards helping treat children with life-threatening cases. To kick-off the MVP Open celebration a bit early, we’re announcing another collaboration with St. Jude for MVP Open 2025 - exclusively releasing the Plasma Shift for this extraordinary cause! Just like last year, MVP will be donating 60% of sales directly to St. Jude. This collaboration wouldn’t be complete without a stamp inspired by art created by a child receiving care from St. Jude, which industry veteran John Dorn has respectfully illustrated for this release. We deliberately chose the Shift as a disc that everyone can throw, because this cause is universal and affects us all - the more people throwing Shifts, the more support we can give to St. Jude. We hope you’ll join us in supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital by purchasing one (or seven) of these Plasma Shifts for your own collection!
The Streamline Plasma Shift distance driver is Streamline's understable 9-speed St. Jude fundraiser driver, molded in Plasma plastic. It's built for players of all power levels, and it's at its best on easy, straight flights and turnover shot shapes. This listing is the St. Jude Special Edition release of the Shift, so you get the same trusted flight with a collectible look.
Plasma Plastic
Plasma is an advanced disc golf polymer with a metallic sheen on the core and color-shift tones in select colors. It's a semi-gummy, grippy, flexible blend that's also highly durable, so your Shift holds its flight for a long time. Choose Plasma if you want premium durability with a little more grip and flex than Neutron or Proton. The Shift is also available in Cosmic Neutron and Proton.
The Mold
The Shift is a 21.3 cm solo-mold distance driver with a 19 mm rim. It is released exclusively through MVP's annual collaboration with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, with stamps inspired by art from patients St. Jude has helped. MVP chose it as a disc everyone can throw: it gives easy, straight flights for all power levels while opening up more shot shapes with more power behind it.
Stability
The Shift is understable. Understable discs turn away from your throwing arm at speed, making turnovers and hyzer-flips easier and helping lower-power players fly straight. For right-hand backhand (RHBH) throwers, it tends to drift right during the fastest part of its flight, then shows a gentle fade back to the left at the end. Left-hand backhand (LHBH) throwers will see the mirror image, drifting left early and fading right at the end. Forehand flights flip that pattern: right-hand forehand (RHFH) follows the LHBH line and left-hand forehand (LHFH) follows the RHBH line. It suits beginners who need help getting straight flights as well as advanced players who want to shape turnovers.

| Glide | 5 | Lots of glide to help it stay in the air and add distance. |
| Turn | -3 | Noticeable turn to the right (RHBH) at speed, great for turnovers and hyzer-flips. |
| Fade | 1 | Very little fade, so it finishes nearly straight. |
