Powell Peralta Skateboard Deck Flight Andy Anderson 323 Hydrant Silver Foil 8.4" x 32"
Description
Meet the NEW 323 Silver Version of Andy Anderson's Hydrant. The Powell Peralta Andy Anderson Hydrant Silver Foil Flight Deck is an 8.4" Flight deck from Powell Peralta featuring the Andy Anderson Hydrant Silver Foil graphic. It's shape 323 with K26 concave, measuring 8.4" x 32.03" with a 14.25" wheelbase.
The NEW 323 is symmetrical, with an identical 6.79" nose and tail on Powell's K26 symmetrical double-kick concave, so it rides the same in either direction. Powell lists its shape features as Pressure Dimples, Grab Spots, a Primo Curve, a Symmetrical Nose and Tail, and a Pressure Pocket, at 8.4" wide at the trucks and 8.2" at the waist.
Powell calls the Hydrant a dialed-in, more precise version of Andy's Vajra. It's reminiscent of the original Heron, but smaller and symmetrical. The square edge and slightly curved nose and tail deliver solid, stable pop, while the K26 concave and inner cuts create a front-foot pocket that makes tre flips and varial heelflips easier to flick. Why Flight Decks
Powell Peralta builds Flight decks differently from a standard 7-ply, using U.S. hard rock maple, high-strength fiberglass, and AirLam fused with epoxy resin. According to Powell:
- Thinner: as thin as your phone.
- Stronger: more than twice as strong in Powell's tail break tests.
- Longer lasting: the epoxy-infused, fiber-reinforced structure is extremely resistant to breaking and gives "everlasting pop" that doesn't fade as the deck wears.
- Higher ollies: greater rebound and snap.
Powell's team testing suggests Flight decks last several times longer than a 7-ply. They're made in the USA at Powell's factory in Ventura, CA, and warranted by SkateOne against delamination for their useful life.
