I wasn't sure I would like an egg shaped board with a shorter wheelbase, but this one was hard to resist. I'm used to bigger, longer boards with fatter tails, but I wanted to try out the funky egg thing. I'm pretty sure I picked the right deck for the job. The construction is sweet, the concave is very interesting, and the graphics are amazing. I paired it with Ace AF1 60 Lows and some custom 38mm throwback wheels. It's super fun to ride, even if it's not my usual style. The deck itself is holding up superbly after a few sessions. The one caveat is that the VX construction is significantly thinner than standard 7-ply, and as a result your usual mounting hardware will seem longer than normal, so adjust accordingly. I'll have to bust out a dremel and file down the t-bolts I used to mount my rails with. They are poking out of the top of the t-nuts just a bit. I could imagine the same thing happening with standard wood screws, to be honest, unless they're painfully short. Other than that, the deck is a keeper, for sure!
