Climo Disc Golf First Run Trophy Line Cliff Putt and Approach 2/3/-1/0 - Choose Exact Disc
Description
The Climo Trophy Line Cliff putter is the beadless, point-and-shoot counterpart to the Champ, molded in Trophy Line plastic. It's built for players looking for touch, control, and a disc that holds the line, and it's at its best on clean, straight putts and drives. Climo Disc Golf discs are designed by 12x World Champion Ken Climo, "The Champ," in partnership with Discraft. This listing is the First Run release of the Cliff.
Trophy Line Plastic
Trophy Line is named for the 230 first-place trophies Ken won in his career, starting with his very first PDGA event in 1987. It's a baseline blend with a middle-of-the-road stiffness: not too stiff, not too soft, but just right, the way The Champ likes it.
The Mold
The Cliff is named for Cliff Stephens Park in Ken's hometown of Clearwater, Florida, where he's played disc golf and catch since he was a kid. Climo estimates he logged thousands of throws there before the course was even installed in 1986, and it's been the "Home of the Champ" ever since. The Cliff is designed for clean releases, smooth glide, and straight, controlled flights. It has a comfortable lower profile and flies straighter than the Champ, while still handling power with ease.
Stability
The Cliff is neutral. Neutral discs fly straight and true with very little turn or fade. For right-hand backhand (RHBH) throwers, it flies straight with only a slight drift left as it slows down. Left-hand backhand (LHBH) throwers will see the mirror image, with a gentle drift right at the finish. Forehand flights flip that pattern: right-hand forehand (RHFH) follows the LHBH line and left-hand forehand (LHFH) follows the RHBH line. It's an easy choice for beginners and a reliable tool for experienced players.
