Description

The Axiom Neutron Panic distance driver is Axiom's thoroughly overstable 13-speed distance driver, molded in Neutron plastic. It's built for high-power throwers who need a headwind and sidearm utility driver, and it's at its best on headwinds, torqued-up sidearms, and steep anhyzer flex shots.

Neutron Plastic

Neutron is the most popular plastic in the MVP and Axiom lineup and their flagship blend. It's opaque with a premium look and feel, and it comes in the widest selection of bright colors, which makes your Panic easy to find in any terrain. Neutron shares the great durability of Proton, so it holds its flight for a long time instead of wearing in quickly. Paired with Axiom's colorful GYRO rims, it's as good looking as it is dependable.

What Is Project Lab Coat?

Project Lab Coat (PLC) is the visual refresh of the MVP Disc Sports and Axiom Discs lineups, MVP's commitment to making sure their discs are the best they can be today, not what made sense a decade ago. Most MVP and Axiom stock stamps were 10 to 15 years old, so PLC brings fresh designs built on MVP's multi-foil stamping. Axiom Neutron stamps are getting a complete overhaul with a fresh concept. Axiom keeps its signature colorful GYRO rims, and black rims are joining the Axiom color mix.

Why it's a win: the flight and plastic don't change. PLC discs come from the same molds and plastic, made in the same Marlette, Michigan facility, so this Panic flies just like the pre-PLC "Classics," with a fresh, modern look.

The Mold

The Panic is a 21.1 cm distance driver with a 23 mm rim. It is thoroughly overstable, with plenty of beef to handle headwinds and torqued-up sidearms. Its overstability holds it on any hyzer line and allows steep anhyzer flex shots. MVP describes it as a seasoned MVP Nitro.

Stability

The Panic is overstable. Overstable discs resist turning over and fade hard at the end, which makes them predictable in wind and at high power. For right-hand backhand (RHBH) throwers, it resists turning over and finishes with a strong, dependable fade to the left. Left-hand backhand (LHBH) throwers will see the mirror image, with that hard fade finishing to the right. Forehand flights flip that pattern: right-hand forehand (RHFH) follows the LHBH line and left-hand forehand (LHFH) follows the RHBH line. It's built for high-power players who need a utility driver.

Flight Numbers

Rating Value What it means
Speed 13 Very high speed that needs strong arm speed to fly as rated.
Glide 4 Moderate glide that carries without sailing past the target.
Turn -0.5 A touch of high-speed turn to the right (RHBH) for a little extra distance.
Fade 3 A strong, reliable fade to the left (RHBH) at the end of the flight.
