Description

Spread your wings and keep your eye on the prize with this understable 7-speed fairway driver – the OTB Open Particle Proton Soft Rhythm! With art by Ripper Studios, This OTB Open exclusive feels and looks as great as it flies.

The Axiom Particle Proton Soft Rhythm fairway driver is Axiom's understable 7-speed fairway driver, molded in Particle Proton Soft plastic. It's built for newer players looking for a first driver and power arms who want a line shaper, and it's at its best on laser-straight drives, hyzer-flips, and turnovers. This listing is the OTB Open 2026 release of the Rhythm, so you get the same trusted flight with a collectible look.

Particle Proton Soft Plastic

Particle Proton Soft is a gummy, flexible, translucent version of Proton with embedded glow particles that react under UV light and help with night visibility. It offers enhanced hand feel and confidence on cold or wet days, keeps Proton's high durability, and cuts down on unwanted skips for better hit-and-sit performance. The Rhythm is also available in Cosmic Neutron, Fission, Neutron and Plasma.

The Mold

The Rhythm is a 21.2 cm fairway driver with a 17 mm rim. It was designed to be either a great first driver or a line-shaping fairway driver for power arms. Lower-power players will find it laser straight with a slight fade at the end. Higher-power players will love carving through the woods with hyzer-flips or natural turnovers from flat, and even rollers aren't out of the question.

Stability

The Rhythm is understable. Understable discs turn away from your throwing arm at speed, making turnovers and hyzer-flips easier and helping lower-power players fly straight. For right-hand backhand (RHBH) throwers, it tends to drift right during the fastest part of its flight, then shows a gentle fade back to the left at the end. Left-hand backhand (LHBH) throwers will see the mirror image, drifting left early and fading right at the end. Forehand flights flip that pattern: right-hand forehand (RHFH) follows the LHBH line and left-hand forehand (LHFH) follows the RHBH line. It suits beginners who need help getting straight flights as well as advanced players who want to shape turnovers.

Flight Numbers

Rating Value What it means
Speed 7 Fairway speed, manageable for most arms.
Glide 5 Lots of glide to help it stay in the air and add distance.
Turn -2 Noticeable turn to the right (RHBH) at speed, great for turnovers and hyzer-flips.
Fade 1 Very little fade, so it finishes nearly straight.
