Bringing enough stability to maintain consistent flights in strong winds and high torque power throws, the Pyro will stay on target. When a consistent midrange is needed – look no further than the Prism Proton Soft Pyro!

The Axiom Prism Proton Soft Pyro midrange is Axiom's overstable midrange and an Eagle McMahon favorite, molded in Prism Proton Soft plastic. It's built for players who need a dependable fade on approaches and in the wind, and it's at its best on overstable approaches, headwind mid shots, and forehands. This listing is the OTB Open 2025 Champions Cup release of the Pyro, so you get the same trusted flight with a collectible look.

Prism Proton Soft Plastic

Prism Proton Soft is a softer version of Axiom's durable candy-color Prism material, which pairs a Proton rim with variable core materials. It shares Proton's durability with excellent grip, control, and bright translucent candy colors. The Pyro is also available in Fission, Prism Neutron, Prism Plasma and Prism Proton.

The Mold

The Pyro is a 21.5 cm midrange with a 14.5 mm rim. It is known for its overstable characteristics and is a favorite of Eagle McMahon. It's the midrange to reach for when you need a shot that dependably fades, whether you're fighting wind or approaching from a tricky angle.

Stability

The Pyro is overstable. Overstable discs resist turning over and fade hard at the end, which makes them predictable in wind and at high power. For right-hand backhand (RHBH) throwers, it resists turning over and finishes with a strong, dependable fade to the left. Left-hand backhand (LHBH) throwers will see the mirror image, with that hard fade finishing to the right. Forehand flights flip that pattern: right-hand forehand (RHFH) follows the LHBH line and left-hand forehand (LHFH) follows the RHBH line. It's best suited to intermediate and advanced players, and it's a valuable utility disc for anyone who plays in wind.
