Disc golf begins quietly enough, before it begins spreading, consuming the community until it begins to spread further. There is another thing on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. Releasing on the Particle Glow Proton Virus, John Dorn brings us “Jane DOE”, here to ensure that disc golf continues to thrive. An exceptionally understable driver, the Virus is a perfect disc for newer players or veterans alike, able to be manipulated however it is needed. Hunt down the basket with one of the best tools available, now in Particle Glow Proton plastic!

The Axiom Particle Glow Proton Virus distance driver is Axiom's easiest-to-throw distance driver, molded in Particle Glow Proton plastic. It's built for newer players and veterans who want a driver they can manipulate any way they need, and it's at its best on easy distance, big turnovers, and line-extending shots. This listing is the OTB Open 2025 Champions Cup release of the Virus, so you get the same trusted flight with a collectible look.

Particle Glow Proton Plastic

Particle Glow Proton suspends tiny glow-in-the-dark specks throughout durable, translucent Proton plastic. Under UV light, the particles create a star-field look while bringing out the vibrant base color. It keeps the premium durability of Proton and adds night visibility and a grippy texture. The Virus is also available in Cosmic Neutron, Eclipse, Fission and Neutron.

The Mold

The Virus is a 21.1 cm distance driver with an 18.5 mm rim. It is exceptionally understable, with glide and responsive understability that keep it in the air. Power throwers can flex huge turnover shots with a straight, forward fade, while average throwers can extend and shape lines using its turn and gentle fade. Compared to the MVP lineup, it resembles a worn-in MVP Impulse.

Stability

The Virus is understable. Understable discs turn away from your throwing arm at speed, making turnovers and hyzer-flips easier and helping lower-power players fly straight. For right-hand backhand (RHBH) throwers, it tends to drift right during the fastest part of its flight, then shows a gentle fade back to the left at the end. Left-hand backhand (LHBH) throwers will see the mirror image, drifting left early and fading right at the end. Forehand flights flip that pattern: right-hand forehand (RHFH) follows the LHBH line and left-hand forehand (LHFH) follows the RHBH line. It suits beginners who need help getting straight flights as well as advanced players who want to shape turnovers.
