Description

The Discraft Big Z Venom distance driver is a powerful overstable distance driver, molded in Big Z plastic. It's built for high-power players who need control at full power, and it's at its best on wind, forehands, and forced hyzers. If you're shopping for a dependable Venom for your bag, this Big Z run is a great place to start.

Big Z Plastic

Big Z is a variant of standard Z plastic with an opaque appearance, a slightly softer feel, and distinct, oversized artwork stamps. It offers durability, excellent grip, and consistent releases, so your Venom looks as good as it flies.

The Mold

Designed to resist turn under aggressive releases, the Venom gives high-power players the confidence to attack into wind, lean on forehands, and shape forced hyzers. Its dependable stability and strong finish make it a driver for when control at full power is non-negotiable.

Stability

The Venom is overstable. Overstable discs resist turning over and fade hard at the end, which makes them predictable in wind and at high power. For right-hand backhand (RHBH) throwers, it resists turning over and finishes with a strong, dependable fade to the left. Left-hand backhand (LHBH) throwers will see the mirror image, with that hard fade finishing to the right. Forehand flights flip that pattern: right-hand forehand (RHFH) follows the LHBH line and left-hand forehand (LHFH) follows the RHBH line. It's best for intermediate to advanced players with good arm speed.

Flight Numbers

Rating Value What it means
Speed 13 Very high speed that needs strong arm speed to fly as rated.
Glide 5 Lots of glide to help it stay in the air and add distance.
Turn 0 No high-speed turn, so it holds its line early in flight.
Fade 3 A strong, reliable fade to the left (RHBH) at the end of the flight.
