Description

The MVP Neutron Relay fairway driver is MVP's easiest-to-throw fairway driver, molded in Neutron plastic. It's built for beginners and experts looking for a powered-down driver, and it's at its best on controllable straight drives and turnovers.

Neutron Plastic

Neutron is MVP's most popular plastic and its flagship blend. It's opaque with a premium look and feel and a dependable grip, and it comes in the widest selection of bright colors, which makes your Relay easy to spot in the rough. Neutron shares the high durability of Proton, so it holds its flight for a long time instead of wearing in quickly. It comes with a white GYRO rim for better line holding.

What Is Project Lab Coat?

Project Lab Coat (PLC) is MVP's lineup refresh, making sure their discs are the best they can be today, not what made sense a decade ago. Many stock stamps were 10 to 15 years old, so PLC brings new designs built on MVP's multi-foil stamping. Neutron stamps are getting a complete overhaul with a fresh concept. Starting in 2026, every MVP plastic line moves to a white GYRO rim.

Why it's a win: the flight and plastic don't change. PLC discs come from the same molds and plastic, made in the same Marlette, Michigan facility, so this Relay flies just like the pre-PLC "Classics," with a fresh look and a white rim that's easier to spot on the course.

The Mold

The Relay is a 21.1 cm fairway driver with a 16 mm rim. The Relay has a slim 16mm wing that still feels chunky in the hand, making it MVP's easiest driver to grip. Advanced throwers get a healthy flip and turn to carve with, while beginner and average players get a controllable straight flyer that doesn't need much power.

Stability

The Relay is understable. Understable discs turn away from your throwing arm at speed, making turnovers and hyzer-flips easier and helping lower-power players fly straight. For right-hand backhand (RHBH) throwers, it tends to drift right during the fastest part of its flight, then shows a gentle fade back to the left at the end. Left-hand backhand (LHBH) throwers will see the mirror image, drifting left early and fading right at the end. Forehand flights flip that pattern: right-hand forehand (RHFH) follows the LHBH line and left-hand forehand (LHFH) follows the RHBH line. It suits beginners who need help getting straight flights as well as advanced players who want to shape turnovers.

Flight Numbers

Rating Value What it means
Speed 6 Fairway speed, manageable for most arms.
Glide 5 Lots of glide to help it stay in the air and add distance.
Turn -2 Noticeable turn to the right (RHBH) at speed, great for turnovers and hyzer-flips.
Fade 1 Very little fade, so it finishes nearly straight.
