MVP Disc Sports Eclipse Glow Photon Distance Driver 11/5/-0.5/2.5 - Choose Exact Disc
SKU: DG-MVP-EC-PHO (REF2809-1)
Description
With flight numbers of 11 5 -0.5 2.5 and the brightest, longest-lasting glow on the market, the Eclipse Photon is your reliable distance driver: day or night.
The Photon is best described as a longer Tesla, with power throwers able to achieve some flight-extending turn, and all throwers getting a reliable fade. The Photon is naturally headwind resistant but average power throwers can use a headwind to emulate those extended flights of high power throwers.
The MVP Eclipse Photon distance driver is MVP's stable-overstable 11-speed distance driver, molded in Eclipse plastic. It's built for players of all power levels who want a reliable fade, and it's at its best on long drives with a reliable fade and headwind shots. If you're shopping for a dependable Photon for your bag, this Eclipse run is a great place to start.
Eclipse Glow Plastic
Eclipse is MVP's premium glow plastic, built with their ultra-bright Glow Core 2.0 for visibility day or night. It's highly durable, so your Photon will have a long, consistent life, and it's a top pick for glow rounds and late-evening leagues. MVP notes that Eclipse offers an alternate flight compared to its other premium plastics, so it may fly a little differently than the same mold in Neutron or Proton.
The Mold
The Photon is a 21.1 cm distance driver with a 21 mm rim. MVP describes the Photon as a longer Tesla. Power throwers can get some flight-extending turn, and all throwers get a reliable fade. It's naturally headwind resistant, and average-power throwers can use a headwind to mimic the extended flights of high-power throwers.
Stability
The Photon is stable-to-overstable. Overstable discs resist turning over and fade hard at the end, which makes them predictable in wind and at high power. For right-hand backhand (RHBH) throwers, it resists turning over and finishes with a strong, dependable fade to the left. Left-hand backhand (LHBH) throwers will see the mirror image, with that hard fade finishing to the right. Forehand flights flip that pattern: right-hand forehand (RHFH) follows the LHBH line and left-hand forehand (LHFH) follows the RHBH line. This Eclipse run is rated 11/5/-0.5/2.5, with a little less turn than the standard 11/5/-1/2.5 Photon. It's best suited to intermediate and advanced players, and it's a valuable utility disc for anyone who plays in wind.
