Innova Disc Golf Star Toro Midrange Disc 4/2/1/3 - Choose Exact Disc
Description
The Innova Star Toro midrange is Calvin Heimburg's flat-top overstable midrange, molded in Star plastic. It's built for players who need control in the wind and on forehands, and it's at its best on forehand torque and overstable approaches. If you're shopping for a dependable Toro for your bag, this Star run is a great place to start.
Star Plastic
Star is created with a special blend of grippy, resilient polymers. It offers the outstanding durability of Champion plastic with improved grip like Pro plastic, and it flies like Champion while being slightly less firm. It provides predictable performance, long-lasting durability even on wooded or rugged courses, good all-weather grip, and it retains its flight longer than DX or Pro plastics.
The Mold
Calvin Heimburg was the inspiration behind the Toro. He wanted a flat-top, overstable midrange he could trust with his level of forehand torque, and after several variations, the Toro was created and named by Calvin.
Stability
The Toro is overstable. Overstable discs resist turning over and fade hard at the end, which makes them predictable in wind and at high power. For right-hand backhand (RHBH) throwers, it resists turning over and finishes with a strong, dependable fade to the left. Left-hand backhand (LHBH) throwers will see the mirror image, with that hard fade finishing to the right. Forehand flights flip that pattern: right-hand forehand (RHFH) follows the LHBH line and left-hand forehand (LHFH) follows the RHBH line. It's best suited to intermediate and advanced players, and it's a valuable utility disc for anyone who plays in wind.
