by
Latitude 64
SKU: DG-L64-O-BLP (REF473-12)
Description
The Latitude 64 Opto Ballista Pro distance driver is the Ballista's more stable big brother, molded in Opto plastic. It's built for players who need control in the wind and on forehands, and it's at its best on tight-fairway distance and windy drives. Latitude 64 makes its discs in its own factory in the north of Sweden, designed by PDGA Hall of Famer Tomas Ekström.
Opto Plastic
Opto Line is made from some of the world's most durable plastics and comes in a variety of beautiful translucent colors. It's developed to withstand severe punishment and extreme conditions better than other plastics.
The Mold
The Ballista Pro adds stability for experienced players. With a great combination of speed, stability, and glide, it's the go-to disc for distance shots, including tight fairways.
Stability
The Ballista Pro is overstable. Overstable discs resist turning over and fade hard at the end, which makes them predictable in wind and at high power. For right-hand backhand (RHBH) throwers, it resists turning over and finishes with a strong, dependable fade to the left. Left-hand backhand (LHBH) throwers will see the mirror image, with that hard fade finishing to the right. Forehand flights flip that pattern: right-hand forehand (RHFH) follows the LHBH line and left-hand forehand (LHFH) follows the RHBH line. It's best for intermediate to advanced players with good arm speed.
Flight Numbers
| Rating | Value | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Speed | 14 | Very high speed that needs strong arm speed to fly as rated. |
| Glide | 4 | Moderate glide that carries without sailing past the target. |
| Turn | 0 | No high-speed turn, so it holds its line early in flight. |
| Fade | 3 | A strong, reliable fade to the left (RHBH) at the end of the flight. |
