Innova Disc Golf Star Valkyrie with Spirit of Detroit Stamp Fairway Driver
Description
The Innova Star Valkyrie fairway driver is one of Innova's most iconic fairway drivers, molded in Star plastic. It's built for newer players and anyone who wants easy distance and turnovers, and it's at its best on rollers, hyzer-flips, and long turnovers. This one features TGM's custom Spirit of Detroit stamp.
Star Plastic
Star is created with a special blend of grippy, resilient polymers. It offers the outstanding durability of Champion plastic with improved grip like Pro plastic, and it flies like Champion while being slightly less firm. It provides predictable performance, long-lasting durability even on wooded or rugged courses, good all-weather grip, and it retains its flight longer than DX or Pro plastics.
The Spirit of Detroit Stamp
This Valkyrie carries our custom Spirit of Detroit stamp, a design TGM Skateboards created to honor the city. The Spirit of Detroit, the iconic bronze statue by Marshall Fredericks that has stood downtown since 1958, has long been a symbol of Detroit's people and their determination, and we're proud to celebrate it and the Metro Detroit disc golf community from our shop in Mt. Clemens.
You get the same trusted flight and plastic as any other Star Valkyrie, with a stamp you won't find on the standard release. It's a great pick for your own bag, a gift for a Detroit fan, or a piece of local pride for your collection.
The Mold
The Valkyrie was one of the 5 original CE production discs. It has a very comfortable grip and an even better flight, great for beginners to learn on or advanced players shaping incredible shots like rollers, hyzer-flips, and long turnovers.
Stability
The Valkyrie is understable. Understable discs turn away from your throwing arm at speed, making turnovers and hyzer-flips easier and helping lower-power players fly straight. For right-hand backhand (RHBH) throwers, it tends to drift right during the fastest part of its flight, then shows a gentle fade back to the left. Left-hand backhand (LHBH) throwers will see the mirror image, drifting left early and fading right at the end. Forehand flights flip that pattern: right-hand forehand (RHFH) follows the LHBH line and left-hand forehand (LHFH) follows the RHBH line. It suits beginners who need help getting straight flights as well as advanced players who want to shape turnovers.
