Description

The AGL Alpine Sycamore fairway driver is AGL's straight-flying 7-speed fairway driver, molded in Alpine plastic. It's built for all types of players, from slower arms to big throwers, and it's at its best on tight fairways and tunnel shots. Made in the USA by family-owned AGL, the Sycamore is ready to take your game Above Ground Level.

Alpine Plastic

Alpine is AGL's premium plastic and their most-used blend. Like all AGL plastics, it's made with recycled and regrind material, so it cuts down on waste while flying just as well. Original Alpine was made at Gateway and could come out clear or opaque depending on the mix. AGL's newer Alpine runs are made by Innova with 20-40% regrind from Innova's Champion plastic, and AGL calls it extremely durable with incredible longevity. AGL also notes Alpine discs can come out with a little more dome than Woodland runs, which can add glide.

About AGL Discs

AGL, short for Above Ground Level, is a family-owned disc golf company run by the Jones family and Northern California's #1 disc golf manufacturer. All AGL discs are made in the USA, and AGL is committed to discs that are more durable than the competition so they keep a proper flight path for a longer lifespan. Every mold is named after a tree as part of AGL's "Treeline" theme, and AGL's plastics use recycled and regrind material to minimize waste while flying just as well.

The Mold

The Sycamore is the lone 7-speed fairway driver in AGL's lineup, built for consistent accuracy on tight fairways and shots where trouble looms. Faster arm speeds can get some turn out of it, while slower arm speeds get a great straight-flying tunnel-shot disc. It's become an instant favorite for all types of players and typically sells out fast.

Stability

The Sycamore is neutral-to-stable. Neutral discs fly straight and true with very little turn or fade. For right-hand backhand (RHBH) throwers, it flies straight with only a slight drift left as it slows down. Left-hand backhand (LHBH) throwers will see the mirror image, with a gentle drift right at the finish. Forehand flights flip that pattern: right-hand forehand (RHFH) follows the LHBH line and left-hand forehand (LHFH) follows the RHBH line. It's an easy choice for beginners and a reliable tool for experienced players.

Flight Numbers

Glide 5 Lots of glide to help it stay in the air and add distance.
Turn 0 No high-speed turn, so it holds its line early in flight.
Fade 1 Very little fade, so it finishes nearly straight.
