Description

The Discraft Special Blend Archer midrange is an understable driver built for effortless distance, molded in Special Blend plastic. It's built for developing players and experienced throwers who shape lines, and it's at its best on hyzer-flips, long turnovers, and technical woods lines. This listing is the Austin Turner Tour Series release of the Archer. Austin Turner is part of Team Discraft.

Special Blend Plastic

Discraft's Special Blend combines Titanium and Big Z. It delivers enhanced grip, lasting durability, standout color, and a confident, tacky feel in the hand, which is why it's used for Team Discraft's 2026 Tour Series releases.

The Mold

The Archer offers plenty of high-speed turn for smooth hyzer-flips, long turnovers, and technical lines through the woods. Developing players can use its understability for easier distance, while experienced throwers lean on it for controlled movement when the fairway isn't straight.

Stability

The Archer is understable. Understable discs turn away from your throwing arm at speed, making turnovers and hyzer-flips easier and helping lower-power players fly straight. For right-hand backhand (RHBH) throwers, it tends to drift right during the fastest part of its flight, then shows a gentle fade back to the left at the end. Left-hand backhand (LHBH) throwers will see the mirror image, drifting left early and fading right at the end. Forehand flights flip that pattern: right-hand forehand (RHFH) follows the LHBH line and left-hand forehand (LHFH) follows the RHBH line. It suits beginners who need help getting straight flights as well as advanced players who want to shape turnovers.

Flight Numbers

Rating Value What it means
Speed 5 Midrange speed that rewards smooth form over raw power.
Glide 4 Moderate glide that carries without sailing past the target.
Turn -4 Lots of turn to the right (RHBH), built for rollers and big turnovers.
Fade 1 Very little fade, so it finishes nearly straight.
