Few skateboard brands have a cast of characters as recognizable as World Industries. Flameboy, Wet Willy, and Devilman have been riding the bottoms of decks for decades, and the brand behind them helped change how skateboarding does business.
Here's the story, plus every way to get a World Industries board at TGM: decks, complete setups built on World decks, factory-assembled prebuilts, and limited edition signed boards.
The Brand That Changed Skateboarding
World Industries was established in 1987 by Steve Rocco and Rodney Mullen. It was one of the first skateboard companies owned and operated by pro skaters, at a time when the industry was run by a few big brands. That skater-owned approach, along with its irreverent graphics, helped shape the modern skate industry.

Limited Edition Signed Boards
For collectors, the Heritage Division releases come from World Industries founder Steve Rocco. Each deck is hand-silkscreened by Screaming Squeegees on the original shape, pulled through screens one color at a time, so the ink has the depth and texture of the originals. Each is hand-numbered, and comes with a giclée print of the board art and a print of the story behind the graphic written by Steve Rocco, both sealed, certified authentic, and signed by Rocco.
| Board | Edition |
|---|---|
| Steve Rocco "III" | One of 150 |
| Rodney Mullen "Bear" | One of 150 |
| Jesse Martinez "Rock'em Sock'em" | One of 80 |
| Jef Hartsel "Yout" | One of 80 |
They're built with Epoxy 7 construction (7-ply North American maple with epoxy glue, individually pressed) and measure 9.75" x 31.5" with a 14.75" wheelbase.
