Risers under trucks create clearance between deck and wheels. It’s important to avoid wheel bite! Wedge risers also angle trucks to change the turning radius. Thick ends of risers in toward center allows the board to turn tighter and thick ends out makes board take larger arcs. Opposite for reverse kingpin trucks. Longer hardware bolts are needed for the thick end of wedge risers.
